Human beings have acquired and explored innovative artificial technology in every field of life, though there is an imbalanced approach to this phenomenon, some parts of the world are highly indulged in it while others are left behind and they are not having easy access to it, like South Asia.
Talking particularly about Pakistan, this region has a moderate attitude toward embracing new trends and methods, and the agriculture sector follows the same approach. Most part of the country’s economy relies on farming and its related professions, yet any new technology helpful to them is either out of their reach or rejected by them.
Nevertheless, due to limited financial resources, the country is facing a backlash in providing, creating a balanced, neutralized distribution and implication of innovative agricultural trends. A particular facet is encircling most of the climatic and agricultural concerns, and implementing changes in the traditional farming concepts and methods, which include the concerns regarding the quantity of water and the warm temperature.
To avoid and tackle these expected or unexpected obstacles farmers use different tactics, but later they end up implementing the on-hand technology like one of it is AWD.
AWD is more like a strategy than a technology that helps the farmers to study and observe the amount of water needed and used in the field, this technique is mostly helpful to the farmers who are involved in cultivating rice also it is helpful in unexpected and expected climatic changes which cause drought and flood, etc. To maintain and monitor the intensity of moisture present in the soil according to the requirements of the land and crop. This technology is mostly availed by rice farmers from Punjab and Sindh, provincial regions in Pakistan.
Furthermore, another method that is yet not availed widely by farmers in Pakistan is laser leveling. Major backlash or reasons why this technique is not immensely applied is that the field areas are uneven and are not well designed to cope with these advanced technologies. This helps the farmers in keeping up a balance of land soil and water.
Nevertheless, apart from these and countable other latest technical methods, there is a general hesitation among the farmers in adopting the trends. However, in their own way, they are trying to apply the modified versions of seeds that will be able to survive the unexpected climatic change. Aside from that they also try to shuffle or change the time to cultivate while observing the climatic circumstances.
To be precise, climate change has enormously affected the agriculture sector in one way or another, from crops to livestock, to the fishing industry, all of them have faced the music of abrupt atmospheric shuffling circle and cycle. On a shorter scale IT sector is trying to provide a helping hand to tackle this phenomenon but on a limited scale with minimal resources.
