Abstract: Climate change has a significant impact on the health of communities in Somalia. Rising temperatures, changing precipitation patterns, and increasing frequency of extreme weather events have all contributed to the deterioration of living conditions in the country.

This research aims to understand the impact of climate change on the health of communities in Somalia, identify the most vulnerable communities and populations, and identify strategies and interventions that can be implemented to mitigate the negative impacts of climate change on health.

The research is based on a review of existing literature, interviews with community leaders, health professionals, and government officials, and an analysis of data on weather patterns and other climate indicators. The outcomes of the research include increased risk of heat stroke and other heat-related illnesses, the spread of diseases such as malaria and dengue fever, disruption of food and water supplies, and mental health impacts.

  3. Explore the ways in which communities are responding to the health impacts of climate change.

Methodology:

This study will be conducted using a mixed-methods approach, including both qualitative and quantitative data collection methods. The research will be conducted through a combination of Interviews, focus groups, and surveys. Data will be collected from a diverse range of stakeholders, including community members, healthcare providers, and government health officers.

Outcomes:

The outcomes of this study will include a better understanding of the ways in which climate change is impacting the health of communities in Somalia, as well as insights into the ways in which communities are responding to these impacts. This information will be used to perform policy, applicable adaptation, and practice in order to address the health impacts of climate change in Somalia.
