Carlos Collado

Carlos María Collado García is a sociologist deeply engaged with the pulse of grassroots environmental justice. A PhD researcher and Graduate Teaching Assistant at University College Dublin, Carlos draws from rich academic and field experiences across Latin America and Europe. With a background in International Relations and a Master's in Contemporary Latin American Studies, his work investigates the emotional dynamics of protest, resistance, and social movements—particularly those driven by climate urgency in urban spaces.

Having conducted field research in Mexico City and volunteered with migrant youth and solidarity programs in Italy, Carlos blends scholarly rigor with lived activism. At Climate Change Writers, he serves as an editor, lending his voice and lens to amplify stories of communities resisting environmental degradation and advocating for systemic change.

His commitment to climate justice is rooted in solidarity, education, and storytelling—a powerful trifecta that positions him as a vital voice in shaping inclusive, global climate discourse.
